DROGBA - CONTENDER FOR PFA PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Didier Drogba has been shortlisted for the PFA Fans' Players of the Month for March.

Following a recent return to form, which has seen the Ivorian score against Juventus (which can be seen in the video below), Portsmouth and Coventry City in recent weeks, Drogba now finds his name among five Barclays Premier League players who are in contention for the award, voted for by the fans.

The list includes Robin van Persie, Fernando Torres, Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Lennon.

Drogba's season has been stricken with injury, but since returning for 90 minutes in our 1-0 away win over Aston Villa, before he was substituted by Juliano Belletti in stoppage time, our number 11's season has been going from strength to strength.

With three goals in three different competitions since that game, Drogba has truly earned his place as a contender for March's PFA Player of the Month Award.

Now on international duty with the Ivory Coast, Drogba is preparing to face Malawi this weekend in a crucial World Cup and African Cup of Nations qualifier, before returning to the Blues to face Newcastle on Saturday 4 April.

This is the only national Player of the Month competition for which fans can vote, and Blues can vote for Drogba by clicking here.
